Vestibular Conditions and Concussions
Anne is certified through the American Institute of Balance to treat vestibular conditions and concussion (AIB-VRC certification).
Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) is treated with canalith repositioning maneuvers (including the modified Epley and horizontal hybrid maneuver). The maneuver utilized is determined by which canal is affected and the patient’s mobility. Patients will be educated on the specific maneuver before it is performed.
Concussion and other vestibular conditions are treated with vestibular rehabilitation. Vestibular rehabilitation therapy includes education on the condition, substitution exercises, adaptation exercises, dual task exercises, and habituation exercises. Treatment is tailored to each patient’s specific needs.
Orthopedics and Musculoskeletal Conditions
Conditions are treated with a combination of hands-on manual therapy, extensive education, mobility exercises, nervous system calming techniques, balance/proprioception training and therapist led targeted strengthening and stabilization exercises.
